An update on the progress on the electric pans

The test model is being shipped to us and we hope it will be approved very soon.

The final form will have eight holes instead of nine. There were not sufficient room for them all. We will post a picture of the final product as soon as we have it approved.

OK, we now have the contract in the can and the funds deposited for the
production. I guess we are on the way! It finally is happening.
The final product will look a little different from the model on my website.
It will be a little more squat, have a temperature control and have nine
holes for baking. The base color will be white with the pan itself black. I
think it is a beauty!
We will have a test model coming in about a month for testing and approval,
then on to production.
I think we are looking at a delivery date around September-October, which is
a great time for the Christmas season. That is the time most are thinking of
aebleskiver.
It took a long time to get to this point, but it will be worth the waiting
time.
I will keep you all posted on the progress.

As of today, the end of 2008, we are told the pans will be available by springtime. It has been a long hard struggle and it is not over yet.  There are problems all over the world trying to get production going again, but we do not give up very easy!!

At this point we still do not have the product ready, but are in the process of having them manufactured and imported.  We want to see if there is a demand for an item like this.

The pan will be made of aluminum and have the non-stick finish that make them so great to work with. They will have nine holes and the pan will be round.  They will be thermostat regulated and the temperature can vary from 300F and up to 450F.  This way it can be used for other things beside aebleskiver. The current is made for the US with 115 volt.

The model you see here is a temporary model, not the finished product.  I am only posting this to get an idea of how it will look like. The finished pan will have nine holes.

The idea is to have it right on your dining table and you make your own aebleskiver right in front of you. Each one can make their own and all be seated around the table.  It will be a great conversation piece and help bring the family or friends together.
